After earning her medical degree as part of a combined undergraduate and graduate program at SUNY Health Science Center in Brooklyn, Dr. Carmela Seymour completed her residency at North Shore University Hospital on Long Island. For nearly three decades, Dr. Seymour has provided complete gynecological care to her patients from adolescence to menopause and beyond, with a special interest in preventive care. She has worked in a variety of medical-care spaces, including as a partner in a private group practice setting.
Dr. Seymour is adored by her patients for her thoughtful, caring and thorough approach to care. “I really love taking care of women at every stage of their lives,” she says.
At Atria, Dr. Seymour is thrilled to have the time to treat women in a thorough and dignified way and in a supportive medical environment, where she can take the time needed to provide a more personalized experience. “I’m thrilled to work with a team of brilliant and passionate doctors who want to work together to provide personalized care for each of our patients,” says Dr. Seymour.
Dr. Seymour met her husband, who is also a gynecologist, when they were in medical school. Two of their three children are following in their parents’ life-saving footsteps and becoming doctors. The third is studying environmental policy and planning to save the entire planet.
