Dr. Daniel Yadegar is triple board-certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiology, and Anti-Aging and Regenerative Medicine. He focuses on preventive medicine and longevity, drawing on his wide variety of training and life experience to treat members in an evidence-based and creative manner.
While he comes from a family of physicians, Dr. Yadegar says his childhood experience as a refugee in the Dominican Republic solidified his desire to combine his passions for caregiving and science into a career in medicine. “There was no other path for me,” Dr. Yadegar says.
After his Iranian Jewish family fled their home country during the Iranian Revolution in the late 1970s, they migrated to the Dominican Republic, where Dr. Yadegar’s father attended medical school. There, the young boy saw deep poverty and disease, which he knew he wanted to help address. The family then moved to New York, where a young Dr. Yadegar pursued medicine in academic and extra-curricular settings throughout high school and college.
He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Harvard University and his Medical Degree from Weill Cornell Medical College in New York before going to Lenox Hill Hospital for a residency in internal medicine and a fellowship in cardiovascular medicine. Dr. Yadegar then began working as a cardiologist at Lenox Hill Hospital and became Associate Director of the Cardiac Care Unit there. This experience made him realize that while he loved cardiology, he also wanted to help patients in a comprehensive way. “I don't want to just do cardiology. I want to make sure people are sleeping well, that they’re eating well, and that they are on the right supplements,” Dr. Yadegar says.
Dr. Yadegar completed an advanced training fellowship in age management and regenerative medicine, which helped inform his holistic approach to medicine. He started working in concierge medicine in New York, and in 2017 he was recruited by Thomas Peterffy to help create Holistic Integrative Health in Palm Beach, where Dr. Yadegar served as Medical Director for more than five years before joining Atria.
Dr. Yadegar describes his philosophy as Eastern Medicine meets Western Medicine, bringing cutting-edge technology, techniques, and treatments to help members optimize their lifespan and their healthspan. “Healthy aging is about meeting every milestone of life with grace—mind, body, and soul,” he says. “Good health, good cognition, good mobility, and good independence: those are all critically important for maintaining a high quality of life.”
In addition to his love for taking care of people, Dr. Yadegar is actively involved in the life sciences industry and is constantly looking for new innovations to help his patients. He is a Co-Founder and Chief Medical Officer of Newpath Partners, a Boston-based biotech venture capital fund that focuses on early life-science companies, and sits on the boards of Cleerly and iECURE. “I’m a complete science geek,” Dr. Yadegar says. “I have my finger on the pulse of clinical trials and science and thought leaders, and that just elevates my clinical practice.”
Dr. Yadegar is a single father to two beautiful children, whom he had through in vitro fertilization and surrogacy. This experience led him to develop a strong interest in fertility medicine and a commitment to helping people who want to become parents fulfill that desire. In his spare time, Dr. Yadegar enjoys playing volleyball, tennis, padel, and backgammon, as well as traveling, visiting museums, and spending time with his children.
